			<title>recycle on "Registration Enhancements"</title>

			<description>&#60;p&#62;We've gone to production with a few enhancements to the registration flow that should make is easier for our new site users:&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;ul&#62;
&#60;li&#62;Ability to declare a business / institution name (in addition for first and last name)&#60;/li&#62;
&#60;li&#62;Easier selection of materials for the collectors&#60;/li&#62;
&#60;li&#62;Simplified the Captcha&#60;/li&#62;
&#60;/ul&#62;
&#60;p&#62;&#60;strong&#62;Business Name&#60;/strong&#62;&#60;br /&#62;
At the time of registration, one has the ability to enter a business / institution name in addition to first name / last name. The business name may be edited from your dashboard. So, if you want to add a business name to your account, you can now do that. Or, if you want to remove the business name from your account, you may now do that, too.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;&#60;strong&#62;Material Selection&#60;/strong&#62;&#60;br /&#62;
Collector Registration: Simply select the checkbox(s) for one or more materials. A visual aid will indicate when the material has been selected or deselected.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;&#60;strong&#62;Captcha&#60;/strong&#62;&#60;br /&#62;
We were receiving some complaints that the captcha seemed to give a false reading and fail validation. We've simplified the code, this should allow success on the first try.

			<description>&#60;p&#62;We had a SNAFU on 22 May 2010 where we &#34;lost&#34; several registered users. If you signed-up at ecycler between 8 May 2010 and 22 May 2010, your account may have been accidentally removed from the system during one of our routine clean-ups. Our database script decided to be a bit too aggressive and wiped approximately 50 users from the system--most have been restored from database backups, but a few are completely lost. We apologize for this inconvenience. If you are one of the discarders or collectors that had an ecycler account, but it is now gone, please sign-up again. For your efforts, we'd be happy to send to you one of our ecycler re-usable bags at no cost to you. Please contact us through the &#60;a href=&#34;http://ecycler.com/contact.php&#34;&#62;Contact Us&#60;/a&#62; form and let us know your username.

			<description>&#60;p&#62;We've added clarifying text to both the discarder registration page and the collector registration page. There has been some confusion on the definitions, this should assist in defining each role

			<title>craig on "Ideas for getting started as a Collector"</title>

			<description>&#60;p&#62;ecycler has two users, Collectors and Discarders. Discarders make recyclables available from the home or business and Collectors pick up recyclables from discarders. Collectors redeem or sell the recyclables to a buyback or recycling center of their choice.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;If you are new to ecycler here is how to get started as a &#60;strong&#62;Collector&#60;/strong&#62;...&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Start marketing yourself locally with your poster or business cards that can be downloaded and printed from your dashboard on ecycler.com.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;To attract residential customers--typically those who live in single family homes--we suggest placing your custom poster in coffee shops, grocery stores or any place that community postings are allowed.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;To attract commercial customers we suggest that you contact them directly and provide them with a business card and your poster. You can direct them to your ecycler profile and point out your positive feedback that you may have received through numerous ecycler transactions to indicate that you are a reliable collector. In many areas single family residential homes have single-stream recycling (aka the city provided recycling bins). In these areas you may have more success approaching condos and businesses and arrange with the manager to collect the recyclables from the building.

			<description>&#60;p&#62;Howdy,&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Use this area to discuss what works and what doesn't work in terms of marketing yourself as a collector.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;In addition, there are several tools available to you on your &#60;a href=&#34;http://ecycler.com/cdb.php&#34; title=&#34;ecycler Collector Dashboard&#34;&#62;ecycler dashboard&#60;/a&#62;. These include personalized marketing posters and business cards. We are always open to suggestions for other tools that would help you market yourself.&#60;/p&#62;
